Frame moulding is made from scratch, using a table saw to cut lengths from wood stock. Woods such as oak and ash are used, although other woods can be sourced on request!
These lengths are then planed down using a planer thicknesser to ensure an even surface and size. To complete the frame moulding a rebate and design is added using a router table.
Frames are cut using a razor sharp mitre guillotine to ensure perfect corners. The frame is then ready for assembly and finishing. We use a wide variety of finishes and effects such as antiquing or a lime wax finish can be added. A final layer of beeswax gives the frame a natural shine.
